Psalm 21 for my husband

hr

Psal 21:1 (KJS) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
Dear Lord, may my husband take joy in Your strength...may Your strength be his joy (Neh 8:10)
May he rejoice in Your salvation! (Ps 40:16, 70:4, 118:24; Hab 3:18)

Psal 21:2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips.
As he makes You the desire of his heart, may You answer each and every prayer of supplication, intercession, and request. As he walks with You, may he be overtaken with blessings, and the windows of heaven rain down on him (Ps 37:4; John 14:13-14, 15:16, 16:23,26; Phil 4:6, Eph 6:18; Deut. 28:2ff; Mal 3:10)

Psal 21:2 Selah.
The Amplified Bible says after Selah - Pause, and think of that!
Dear Lord, I pause right now, and wait on You to show the fullness of Your love through these two verses.

Psal 21:3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
As You daily load him with blessings, may You be a sun and sheild to him, that he would glory in Your giftings. Let him know that he is a royal priesthood, set apart unto You. (Ps 68:19, 3:3; 1Pet 2:9)

Psal 21:4 He asked life of thee, [and] thou gavest [it] him, [even] length of days for ever and ever.
Dear Lord, You have promised long life, and salvation to him, please fill them with You and Your mercies. (Ps 91:16)

Psal 21:5 His glory [is] great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. 6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
You are the Glory and the Lifter up of our heads, and our glory is in Your salvation, may he be full of the glory of Your salvation. Father, You have shared Your honor and Your majesty with him, may I and my family be aware of who You declare my husband is, and walk in right relationship with him. May I honor him as Your ambassador to our family, with all the respect due him. May he be filled with joy and gladness because You have turned Your countenance toward him. (Num6:26; Ps 4:6-7)

Psal 21:7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
Lord, may my husband trust in you with all his heart, may he not lean unto his own flesh and understanding. May he daily lean on Your mercies. (Pr. 3:5, Ps20:7, 118:9; Jer17:5; Lam3:22-23)

Psal 21:8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. 9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. 10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. 11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, [which] they are not able [to perform]. 12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, [when] thou shalt make ready [thine arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them.
Dear Lord, You have promised to deliver us from the enemy, to protect us from evil, (Ps 91) . May my husband dwell in Your secret place, hide under Your wings, and You deliver him from all the ploys of the enemy. May he be aware of the enemy's ploys to that he can turn to You for protection and deliverance.

Psal 21:13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power.
May You be glorified in my husband in every way, may he trust in Your strength, and my You be his strength and song.
